Fly Day for Orville Wright Flight Sim Pilots
The EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Young Eagles program affords an opportunity for young people to be exposed to the world of aviation and actually experience a first flight. Well the students of the Flight Sim Program who have been busy learning the basics of flight on their simulators got a chance to show what they know on June 9th and 16th with the EAA Chapter 96 and their pilots at Compton Airport. Flights lasted about 30 minutes for each student as they experienced being a pilot. Sightseeing was also the order of the day for those in the back seat (including me), and everybody seemed to have a great time! All students have signed off on level 4 of the program which earned them a seat on one of these very special flights.
